She is seen here with friend

knew Chief Joseph. Darvin Relates: "Chief Joseph wasn't a
great War Chief....He was a man of peace. Being reluctant as he was
to make war is part of what made him a great man.
Darvin goes on to say "most of the war chiefs were killed off.
Darvin tells of John Pitcher (Jim's great grand father) living in the
western wilderness "Davey Crockett style" with his wife and children.
Having no pigs around...They built a fortress and raised black bears
for meat. In those pioneer times. John carried a Colt Peacemaker.
Later John's son would grow to become the Nez Perce Indian
Reservations Indian Agent. George loved the Nez Perce people and
built his home near the "heart of the Monster" ( the center of their
sacred land). Darvin says the Indians called themselves
"Nee-Me-Poo" meaning "The Real People". Sad but true, only recently
the last chunk of Pitcher "reservation" property was sold.
Flo says "After spending 30 hours with Tex, his neck and
body parts are now flexible and beginning to move off of
pressure. Gracie is wonderful to work with! I hope this team
continues to reach for their goals while in Anchorage! .
We
hear they are!
Pitcher Ranch follows a conservative plan,
however we will still be facing a partial
herd dispersal.
More than %50 of the horses here now will
be available for prices never before
offered. The list is long of beautiful horses.
We still want quality homes for our stock.
If these cannot be found here, we will try
to haul these horses outside. These are fine
blooded mares. Act now for the best deal. An
opportunity like this might be a long time
coming by again.

That has now been accomplished! Two very good
